Hech Rhymes is a jazzy, lyrical MC from Cambridge, Massachusetts who displays charm and flex. The storytelling ability visible in her rhymes is refreshing and often verbose, if sometimes cryptically delivered. Hailing most of her influences from the mid-90’s when boom bap and competent flows were a mainstay, hers is a throwback sound with a head nod to the new school. Her debut project “DUCK DUCK DILLA DOOM” (released in 2016) is a sampling of her roots in jazz, which make for an interesting match of sounds as played over MF Doom and J. Dilla beats.
